PLUMB BOB FOR CONSTRUCTION. WITHOUT NUT. 20TH CENTURY

Description:
- Construction plumb bob from the second half of the 20th century, with a hollow brass weight, 10.3 cm. high and 3.6 cm. in diameter, in the shape of a cylinder and a cone at the lower end, with a threaded head. It is filled with lead. A new Cordura has been fitted. Its total weight is 627 gr.
- The weight head has a large pitch thread and deep threads, which makes it a very strong and accurate thread.
- The quality of workmanship of the plumb bob is very good, both the casting and the turning of the brass weight, all with simple and very good finishes.
- The Plumb-bob is probably made in Southern Europe.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found on the weight that could provide information about the place where it was made, the manufacturer, or its characteristics.
- Due to the characteristics of the brass and the use of the plumb bob, a very attractive patina has been preserved.

Conservation and Damage:
- This plumb bob has been well treated, so that the weight is in very good condition, with many knocks and scratches, both on the edges and on the faces, all of which correspond to the long use of the plumb bob.
- The walnut has wood flaws on its edges.
