Description:
- Incomplete plumb bob instrumental of the second half of the 19th century, WITHOUT WEIGHT, solid bronze, 7,5 cm. high and 3,7 cm. diameter, pear-shaped and with threaded head.
- The plumb bob was probably made in Southern Europe.
- The quality of execution of the plumb bob is very good, both in the casting, which lacks imperfections, and in the turning of the weight, all with simple and very good finishes, and in particular the bands that are chiselled on both the body and the head.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found on the Pesa that could provide information on the place where it was made, the maker's details or its characteristics.
- Due to the characteristics of the bronze, it retains a very attractive patina due to age.
Conservation and Damage:
- The Pesa is in a very good state of preservation.
- The plumb bob has very minor knocks and rubbing, both on the edges and sides of the plumb bob and on the faces, all of which correspond to the fact that the plummet has not been used very carefully.
- The Plumb bob shows wear typical of it's age.
