Description:
- Used postage stamp, 2 Heller, year 1919. Colour Reddish Carmine. The Heller was the Austro-Hungarian crown cent in the Austrian part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
- The obverse has a mythological character in the centre. Digit ‘2’ in its lower corners. On the lower side the legend ‘HELLER’. On the lateral sides a kind of lightning bolt. On the upper side the legend ‘K K OSTERREICHISCHE POST’ (Austrian Post).
- Overlaid with the legend ‘Deutschösterreich’ (German Austria).
- The reverse retains the original gum. It has the mark of a first hinge and retains a second hinge. The mark of the postmark can be seen.
- Vertical toothing: 12,5. Vertical perforations: 11,5. Very scarce and rare perforation.
- Horizontal toothing: 22,5. Horizontal perforations: 21,5.
- Circular unreadable postmark.
- Printed on medium thick paper of good quality, very light off-white, made in single colour tone Reddish Carmine, very good ink, good stamping and a good centring.
- No other distinctive, mark or contrast has been found, which could give more information about this Postal Stamp.
Conservation and Damage:
- General condition: Good.
- The stamp has not been washed, so it preserves its original rubber, deteriorated by the hinges.
- The paper is clean and has no rust.
- Some of the teeth are very scarce.
- There are no faults or breaks on the stamp.
- The postage stamp shows the deterioration of it's time.
