Description:
- Used postage stamp, 8 Ore, from Denmark, year 1875. Colours Bluish grey and red.
- On the obverse it has, in white, the number 8 with a crown and surrounded with some branches, from which hangs a trumpet. It is framed by a border with the inscriptions ‘DANMARK’ and 'POSTFRIM. 8 ORE'. It is surrounded by a bluish-grey watermark. The edges are oxidised.
- The reverse is very oxidised, with the drawing of the obverse showing through and the postmark not being marked.
- Vertical teeth: 16. Vertical perforations:15.
- Horizontal indentation:14. Horizontal perforations:13.
- Circular postmark with date not legible.
- Printed on medium thick paper of good quality, very light off-white, made in monochrome shades of bluish grey and red, very good ink, good stamping and poor centring.
- No distinctive, mark or contrast has been found, which could give more information about this Postal Stamp.
Conservation and Damage:
- General condition: Fair.
- The stamp has been recently washed, so it does not preserve the gum.
- The paper is very oxidized, mainly in the edges of the obverse, and with the oxide very extended in the reverse.
- Some of the teeth are very poorly serrated. One corner tooth is missing. The teeth of the other corners are bent.
- There are no faults or breaks on the stamp.
- The postage stamp shows the deterioration typical of it's age.
