Description:
- Colour print of Lake Haarlem, a municipality in the Netherlands, in Holland.
- Jan Van Goyen (1596-1656) Dutch landscape painter of the Baroque period. He painted many canals in and around The Hague, as well as the villages surrounding the countryside of Delft, Rotterdam, Leiden and Gouda.
- The original painting by Goyen shows several boats and various figures. In the background is a mill.
- The sheet is glued only at the top to a piece of cardboard, which has a nice greenish-brown line around the sheet.
- The sheet is raised, but there is no writing on it. In the lower area is the description of the plate, and the location of the original painting, which is in the Frankfort Museum.
- The print is good. Colour.
Conservation and Damage:
