Description:
- Used postage stamp, from 5 Kronen, year 1920. Color: Olive Black. The Kronen was the Crown, official currency of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, from the Austrian area.
- On the Obverse it has the Vienna Parliament in the center, surrounded by a filigree perimeter border. Cipher “5” in its lower half corners. On the lower side the legend “Kronen”. On the upper side the legend “Deutschösterreich” (German Austria).
- In the lower margin it is signed by “J.F.RENNER”.
- The reverse does NOT have the original gum. The postmark can be seen.
- Vertical serration:16. Vertical perforations:15.
- Horizontal perforations:22,5. Horizontal perforations:21,5.
- Circular postmark not legible.
- Printed on medium thickness paper of good quality, very light off-white, reinforced with microfibers, made in Olive Black monocolor tone, very good ink, good stamping and a regular centering.
- No other distinctive, mark or contrast has been located, that could provide more data about this Postal Stamp.
Conservation and Damage:
- General Condition: Good.
- The stamp has been washed, so it does NOT keep its original gum.
- The paper is clean and has no rust.
- Some of the teeth are very scarce.
- There are no flaws or breaks in the stamp.
- The postage stamp shows the deterioration typical of it's time.
