Description:
- Photogravure plate from the early 20th century.
- Photoengraving is the production of relief prints by transferring photographic images onto a plate for printing in such a way that light or dark areas become susceptible to engraving. It is normally applied to metal, but can also be used on glass, plastic or other materials.
- The plate is worked with the highest quality, and on the basis of a drawing made with great skill. This has made it possible to obtain a unique piece.
- It shows two angels, one at each end of the plate, worshipping the sacred form, which is in the upper central area.
- It is magnificently preserved and has only been used on a few occasions.
Conservation and Damage:
- The plate is in a good state of preservation.
- The upper left corner is slightly damp.
- Nailed to a wood. It has relief.
- The object shows the wear and tear of it's age.
