Description:
Mustache with mechanical pencil from the beginning of the second half of the 19th century of white metal alloy. Harling brand. England. It would probably belong to a box of measures. It has the inscription 'Harling London' on the outside of one of the legs. It consists of two parts. Bolt and body of articulated legs. The bolt fixed to the body of legs, is grooved to improve the grip. One of the legs has built-in mechanism to fix the needle, while the other has built-in mechanical pencil. The body of articulated legs has a head with a hinge on which the legs rotate, so that, together with the set of the joints, the opening of the mustache is graduated, that is to say, the distance between the ends of the legs. The needle is in very good condition. The quality of the materials and manufacturing of the mustache is very good. Very interesting as a collector's item. It is convenient to carry out a cleaning, and an adequate treatment for the rust, which would significantly improve its appearance, and greatly revalue the piece.
