Description:
- Nice ruler from the second half of the 19th century. It would probably belong in a time signature box. Elliott brand.
- Three-piece ruler. The handle is screwed to the body of the reeds, which, in turn, is fitted into a cylindrical brass base.
- The body has a brass head and part of the tongues are made of chromed or nickel-plated steel.
- On the tongues, the wheel has a plate in order to apply more uniform pressure on the tongue.
- The tips of the reeds are in good condition. The distance between the tabs is graduated using a brass wheel that has a threaded bolt that goes through one of the tabs, screwing into the other tab.
Conservation and Damage:
- The ruler is in good condition.
- There is hardly any dirt and the steel of the tabs has very little rust.
- The object shows the wear and tear of its time.
Comments:
- Both Measurements and Weight are approximate.
- The color tones in the photos are not the same as the real color tones. The Object is the one that corresponds to the photos.
