Description of the book:
- Well-executed sewn binding, with guillotined edges, from the second half of the 19th century. Luxury binding, with gold tooling on both the inside and outside.
- The text is printed in single-colour black, with very good ink, well centred and with good margins.
- Book printed on fine paper of average quality. In some engravings, the ink has transferred to the page, leaving marks.
- Full leather covers. Luxury binding, done later.
Conservation and Damage:
- Overall good condition.
- Sewn binding in good condition.
- Edges with some dirt and minimal scuffing.
- The books have small rust stains on some pages, none of which are significant. Some pages are more tanned than others.
- The second volume has a booklet with rust in the corner, without affecting the text.
- The book has not suffered any external damage such as attacks by insects, rodents, etc.
- The book shows the wear and tear typical of it's age.
Comments:
- Both the measurements and the weight are approximate.
