- The Compostelan Holy Year, also known as the Jacobean Holy Year, is a Catholic celebration that takes place in the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, in the years when the 25th of July falls on a Sunday.
- Reverse: It has only the inscription 'Holy Year 1948'.
- The medal has two contrasts, one on the reverse that looks like some kind of animal that we have not been able to identify, and on the ring it seems to have another one, which we have not been able to identify either.
