Travel books describing an itinerary undertaken in May 1846 through all the Spanish provinces and overseas possessions, documenting with encyclopaedic criteria the most relevant and striking aspects of the geography, history, statistics, legends, customs and literature of each place, each accompanied by engravings based on drawings by Mauricio. A second edition in two volumes was subsequently printed in the same printing house.
- They contain multiple woodcuts, in black and white and in colour, both outside the text and inserted into the text.

- Copies in Spanish, with the complete text.
- The first and second parts consist of: Castile and León, Oviedo, the Basque Provinces and Asturias.
- The third and fourth parts consist of: Galicia, Navarre, La Rioja, Aragon, Catalonia and Valencia.
- And the fifth and sixth parts consist of: Andalusia, Extremadura, New Castile and Madrid.

- Very well executed sewn binding, with guillotined edges, from the mid-19th century.
- The text is printed in single-colour black, with very good ink, well centred and with good margins.
- Books printed on fine white paper of average quality.
- Hard covers in half leather, Dutch style, of good quality. Dry gold tooling.
