Description:
- Chinese ceramic ashtray with a very thick thickness, rectangular shape, painted and enameled. At its base, some ladies are represented playing a board game. On its edge it has a border with a red background and flowers.
- It is likely that this type of ceramic pieces were made in Jingdenzhen Prefecture, Jiangxi Province, recognized as the Chinese ceramic capital. There are other areas of China where ceramic pieces have been manufactured, and in many of these areas they maintain production, so this piece could be made elsewhere.
- In our opinion, it has been done with a mixed technique, using stamping or decal for the figures and drawings, and finishing off with colored and golden paintings.
- It follows in a certain way the style of the Qianlong Period (1736-1795), both in aesthetics and in the theme, with great colorful figures and traditional scenes. In its final auctions it has a clear aesthetic influence of Satsuma porcelain.
- It has a Print on the underside of its base, supposedly containing the Manufacturer's Brand, a Logo with the shape of a teapot and the Legend made in china.
- It is kept in very good condition, without bumps or breakages, maintaining colors and especially gold.
