Description:
- Chinese ceramic ashtray with a very thick, rectangular shape, painted and glazed. At its base, two ladies are represented, one of them playing a piccolo and the other dancing. On its edge it has a border with a beige background and flowers.
- It is likely that this type of ceramic piece was made in Jingdenzhen Prefecture in Jiangxi Province, which is recognised as the ceramic capital of China. There are other areas of China where pottery has been made, and many of these areas still have production, so this piece could be made elsewhere.
- In our opinion, it has been made with a mixed technique, using printing or decal for the figures and drawings, and finishing off with coloured and golden paints.
- It follows to some extent the style of the 'Qianlong Period (1736-1795), both in terms of aesthetics and subject matter, with large, highly colourful figures and costume scenes. In its finishing touches it has a clear aesthetic influence from Satsuma porcelain.
- It has a stamp on the lower face of its base, supposedly containing the Manufacturer's Brand, a Logo in the shape of a 'teapot' and the probable legend 'made in China', which is almost impossible to read.
- It also has the label of: imported by Gerimport, S.L., an important company importing Chinese products, located in Murcia and based in Spain since 1993.

Conservation and Damage:
- It is preserved in very good condition, without knocks or breakages, keeping the colours and especially the golden ones.
- The object shows the wear and tear typical of its time.

Comments:
- Both the Measures, and the Weight, are approximate.
- Because it is inevitable the differences of tonalities between photos and reality, it is necessary to have present that the tones of the colours of the photos are not exactly equal to the tones of the real colours.
- The Object shows the wear and tear of its time, as well as some stains. It has small flaws.
- The data provided here are not contrasted personal opinions.
