Description:
- Complete plumb bob, for construction of the first half of the 20th century, with a solid bronze weight.
- The body of the weight is cylindrical in shape, 8.2 cm. high and 5.6 cm. in diameter.
- The upper part has three superimposed cylinders, with flat faces and integrated head, and the wooden nut of the period has been preserved.
- A very good and beautiful patina has been preserved throughout the plummet. The quality of the bronze casting and the execution of the plumb bob is very good.
- The original wooden plumb-bob nut is preserved intact despite the many knocks it has suffered from use.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information about the place where it was made, the manufacturer's details, or any other information.
- The plummet was probably made in southern Europe.
Preservation and damage:
- The plummet is in a good state of preservation, although the Pesa has many, but very minor knocks and scratches.
- It has a small casting flaw on one side of the body of the plumb bob.
- The nut has flaws on one side, due to time and use.
- The plumb bob has wear and tear typical of it's age.
