Description:
- Incomplete plumb bob for Construction of the Second Half of the 17th century.
- Made from a single piece, cast in iron. It is cylindrical in shape, with a fixed head that is noticeably spherical, joined to the base of the body by a neck.
- A very rare and peculiar plumb bob, given the period and the shape.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information on the place where it was made, the maker's details, or any other information.
- A very good and beautiful patina has been preserved throughout the plumb bob.
- The plumb bob was probably made in southern Europe.
Conservation and damage:
- The plumb bob is in a good state of preservation, with many, but very small knocks and scratches, both on the edges and on the faces.
- There is some rust on the base of the plumb bob.
- The casting of the Weight has no imperfections.
