Description:
- Engraving from Bologna, Italy. It is the lively historical capital of the Emilia-Romagna region in northern Italy. Among the many medieval towers of the city, there are the two towers, the leaning Asinello and the Garisenda.
- All titles are off the plate. The Draughtsman, engraver, printer and publisher are unknown.
- On the top margin it has the legend 'Italie - Italia - Italien'.
- In the lower margin it has the legend 'Bologne - Bologna - Bologna'.
- In the upper right-hand corner it is printed with the number '58', which suggests that the engraving is the number 58 of a series.
- Etching on a steel plate, although a different technique could have been used.
- Made in black monochrome tone.
- It is probably an Engraving belonging to a book.
Conservation and damage:
- General condition: Good.
- It is very well in ink, and has a good printing.
- All the margins are wide.
- The Engraving has a paper of fine thickness and regular quality, glued by the corners to another paper.
- The Engraving has very few rust points, the most important of which affects a part of the drawing of the engraving.
- If it is slightly washed and bleached, the result would be very good.
Comments:
- The measurements are approximate.
- Engraving is ideal as a collector's item and a decorative element.
- We have not found any Distinctive, Mark or Contrast in the Engraving, in order to identify data such as the engraver, the artist, the place where it was printed or other details.
- Since differences in tones between photos and reality are inevitable, it should be borne in mind that the tones of the colours in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colours.
