Description:
- Engraving corresponding to Plate 18 of Civil Constructions, belonging to the Popular Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Sciences and Arts, made by Federico Gillman, and formed according to the Iconographic Encyclopaedia and the Conversations Lexicon of Germany.
- The engraving shows all kinds of plans of schools, institutes, eating houses, etc.
- In the upper margin is the title 'CONSTRUCCIONES CIVILES', and in the upper right-hand corner is printed 'Lam. 18', which identifies it as engraving number 18 in a series on civil constructions.
- In the lower margin are the identifications of the different plans, both for asylums, schools, institutes, prisons, asylums, etc.
- Intaglio etching on steel, although another technique could also have been used.
