Description:
Beautiful engraving, probably in etching copper (it can be another type of plate or technique).
Signed in the bottom right corner, in pencil, outside the plate. The firm could be M.C. Sonvisé, although it has not been possible to locate the artist. We think that the artist can be French, due to the origin of the purchase.
The margins are very generous. The paper is of good quality. It has four vertical longitudinal marks, a sign of having been rolled at some time, most likely. The paper has enough dirt and some moisture marks.
It's a rare engraving to find. The frame is vintage. The measurements of the paper are approximate, since the frame has not been disassembled.
Comments: Due to the fact that the differences in tonalities between photos and reality are inevitable, we must bear in mind that the color tones of the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the actual colors. The engraving presents the wear characteristic of its time, as well as some stains. It has small flaws. The information provided here are personal opinions not contrasted. SHIPMENTS ARE MADE ON MONDAY.
