Description:
- Engraving corresponding to Plate 25 of Ethnography, belonging to the Illustrated Popular Encyclopaedia of Sciences and Arts, made by Federico Gillman, and formed according to the Iconographic Encyclopaedia and the Conversations Lexicon of Germany.
- The engraving depicts various Somali houses and villages, women of different tribes, tools of warfare, etc.
- In the upper margin is the title 'ETHNOGRAPHY', and in the upper right-hand corner is printed 'Lam. 25', which identifies it as the 25th engraving in a series on ethnography.
- In the lower margin are the identifications of the different tribes, instruments, etc., as well as the imprint 'Gras y Compañía. Editors. Madrid'.
- Intaglio etching on steel, although another technique could also have been used.
