Description:
- Engraving corresponding to Plate 6 of Chemistry, belonging to the Popular Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Sciences and Arts, made by Federico Gillman, and formed according to the Iconographic Encyclopaedia and the Conversations Lexicon of Germany.
- The engraving shows various apparatus for the manufacture of different products, including: the manufacture of sulphuric acid, a furnace for calcining pyrites, a platinum still, etc.
- In the upper margin is the title 'CHEMISTRY', and in the upper right-hand corner is printed 'Lam. 6', which identifies it as engraving number 6 of a series on Chemistry.
