Description:

- Map of the harbour and city of Alicante.
- It covers the city and its bay. It belongs to the “Petit Atlas Maritime”, chart no. 61 of Volume IV. In the upper right-hand corner, there is a cartouche on a pedestal with floral motifs containing the title and a graphic scale in toesas.
- Relief represented in perspective by shading of normals and bathymetric contours. Planimetry with cities represented by town centres, fortifications and wooded areas. The coastline is highlighted with normals, anchorages and dotted lines on the beaches.
- At sea, a sixteen-point compass rose and fleur-de-lis indicating north. Few place names in French. Lettering in Roman and italic type. Dated during the reign of Charles III.
- In the upper right margin appears: Tome IV No. 61.
- This is an intaglio print, a copperplate etching process.
- It is large in size and unframed.
