- The engraving shows the Palazzo Tursi Doria, erected from 1565 by the brothers Domenico and Giovanni. It is the only building constructed on three plots with two large gardens framing the central body.
- The palace is the culmination of the residential splendour of the Genoese aristocracy, with interior decorations, paintings or pieces of art from the collection of the Palazzo Bianco museum.
- Since 1848 it has been the seat of the Genoese municipality.
- There is no signature inside or outside the plate.
- In the upper margin is the legend 'GÉNES - GENOVA - GENUA'.
- In the lower margin is the legend 'PALAIS TURSI DORIA - Palast Tursi Doria - Palast Tursi Doria'.
- In the upper right-hand corner is printed the number '80', which suggests that the engraving is number 80 of a series.
- Intaglio etching on steel, although another technique could also have been used.
- It is probably an engraving belonging to a book.
