Description:
- Engraving Seal and counter-seal of Louis IX, during the crusade of 1269.
- The engraving shows the seal and counter-seal of Louis IX, in a large form and with great attention to detail.
- All the titles and signatures are outside the plate.
- In the upper margin is the legend 'FRANCE (XIIIth S) - FRANCE (XIIIth. S)'.
- In the lower margin it has the legend 'Sceau de Louis IX - Seal of Louis IX - Sceau de Louis IX pendant la Croisade de 1269 - Seal of Louis IX during the Crusade of 1269'.
- The number '280' is printed in the upper right-hand corner, which suggests that the engraving is number 280 of a series.
- Augustin François Lemaître: French engraver, lithographer, designer, publisher and photographer. He depicted many landscapes, monuments, architecture and people, especially during his many travels in Europe.
- Intaglio etching on steel, although a different technique could also have been used.

- The engraving is on medium-thick paper of average thickness and regular quality, glued at the corners to another paper.
- The engraving is dirty, and the edges are much dirtier, with very small tears, and the tips are slightly deteriorated with slight bends. It has small damp and rust stains.
- If it were lightly washed and bleached, the result would be very good.
