Description:
- Engraving corresponding to Plate 10 of Ethnography, belonging to the Popular Illustrated Encyclopedia of Sciences and Arts, made by Federico Gillman, and formed in accordance with the Iconographic Encyclopedia and the Conversations Lexicon of Germany.
- The engraving shows buildings, ornamentation, household items, many utensils and tools from the tribes of Sumatra.
- In the upper margin it has the title “ETHNOGRAPHY”, and in the upper right corner it has “Lam. 10” printed, which identifies it as Engraving number 10 in a series on ethnography.
- In the lower margin are the identifications of the utensils, ornamentation, buildings, etc.
- Intaglio etching on steel, although another different technique could also have been used.
