Description:
- Kutani porcelain teapot of Japanese origin.
- Kutani porcelain is a type of Japanese glazed porcelain. Characterised by a very well defined decorative pattern with a black outline, they were very successful.
- We introduce it in the Showa era (1926-1989).
- It is a beautiful teapot with a grey base, and a variety of colours, gold, pink, red, etc. It has various characters, with floral details and houses. All hand painted.
- The teapot has a medium thickness, with sound to the touch, made in white porcelain.
- The figures represent a family, a married couple with two daughters.
- On the base are the letters: Made in Japan, in red.
- After analysing the teapot, we have come to the conclusion that the technique used is mixed, using decals in some parts and drawing by hand most of the teapot.
- All these characteristics give the teapot a very interesting patina, with a very attractive and high quality appearance.

Conservation and Damage:
- The teapot is in good condition.
- It is complete, with its original lid.
- Some areas show wear to the paint and the gilding, but this is not very significant.
- It shows wear typical of it’s age.

Comments:
- We have a matching sugar bowl and milk jug.
- Measurements and weight are approximate.
- The tones of the colours in the photos are not the same as the tones of the real colours.
