- The jug, from the British firm James Dixon & Sons, has an Art Deco style, with two geometric borders, both at the top and the bottom. Surrounding the mouth of the jug is a small rope border.

- James Dixon & Sons, founded in 1806 in Sheffield, was one of the leading British manufacturers of the Industrial Revolution.
- The following contrasts are: 'EP=BM BHA - 8833/1' - 1/3.
- After appropriate research, we know that the letters EPBM stand for: Britannia Metal, specifically Sheffield Metal.
- A specific type of pewter alloy, popular for its silvery appearance and smooth surface, is called 'Britannia Metal'. It is ductile and easily rolled, melted and cast. This alloy is used in the manufacture of Oscar awards.
