Description:
- Medal with form of Area of intersection of two circles, die-cut in aluminium. Probably from the end of the first half of the 20th century.
- With handle and without ring. Plain edge with no inscription.
- Obverse: Saint Joseph, a carpenter at work, appears next to the following inscription: 'Ego Sum Via' 'Congregation of Nª Sª de la Estrada and S. Ignacio de Loyola for employees and workers'.
- Reverse: Our Lady of La Estrada (of the road) and underneath St. Ignatius of Loyola with the following inscription: 'Cor Unum et Anima una ad Jesum per Mariam'.
- The medal is very well made and has an excellent workmanship, achieving harmonious and expressive effects in the high reliefs.
- The fact that the object has a distinctive mark or contrast is of great importance in order to be able to identify data such as its author, the place where it was made and other details.
Conservation and Damage:
- The Medal is in very good condition.
- There is not much wear and tear, and the quality of the high relief is good, both on the obverse and on the reverse.
- It has small bumps and scratches due to use.
- It shows the wear typical of it's time.
Comments:
- Both the Measurements and the Weight are approximate.
- Very interesting as a collector's item and as a decorative element.
- The tones of the colours in the photos are not the same as the tones of the real colours.
