Description:
- Circular medal with a flat loop and no ring, dating from the first half of the 20th century. The loop is not included in the diameter measurement.
- Obverse: Depicts Christ of the Agony of Limpias in half-length, with the following inscription around the top: ‘Most Holy Christ of the Agony’.
- Reverse: Plain, without any inscription.
- Edge: Plain, without any inscription.
- The artistic quality of the medal is very high, executed in a highly personal style and with great ease, achieving harmonious and expressive effects in the high reliefs.
- The Holy Christ of the Agony in Limpias is famous for the miracles that began on March 30, 1919, when witnesses claimed that the wooden image moved its eyes, sweated, turned pale, and bled.
- We have not found any hallmark or mark on the medal that would provide information about the identity of its creators.
