MINIATURE BOOK RUBAIYAT. OMAR KHAYYAM.

Description:
- Small book with the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám, number 6 in the Sesame Booklets series. It contains a collection of poems on a variety of themes, composed in four lines, the first two rhyming with the last, and the third line remaining free.
- It has a plate outside the text, placed before the title page, which is followed by an introduction signed by A.E.S., outlining themes related to Omar Khayyám.
- Undated book. The title page has a border of Art Nouveau flowers, and at the head of all the pages of the text there is an Art Nouveau border, which places the book in the second half of the 19th century.

Description of the Miniature Book:
- Bound very tightly stitched. Top edge is guillotined and gilt. The bottom and front edges are unguillotined, respecting the size of the pages corresponding to the folds of the folds.
- Brown leather hard covers, very good execution, printed in gilt and blue, with decorations and the title 'RUBAIYYAT OF OMAR KHAYYAM'.
- Spine printed in gilt, very well executed, with the title 'RUBAIYYAT OF OMAR KHAYYAM' in gilt.
- Flyleaves with medium-thick, grey, smooth paper.
- Text on thick, thick, white paper of very good quality.
- Bone coloured paper, medium thick and of very good quality.
- Black printing, very good ink, good margins, centred and very good quality.
Conservation and damage:
- The Miniature Book is in good condition.
- The gilt covers and spine have lost much of their vividness, especially on the spine.
- Due to use, the spine and covers have taken on a bowed shape. The deterioration is mainly centred on the spine, with tears in the leather.
- The Miniature Book has not suffered from external aggressions such as humidity, insect attacks, rodents, etc.
- It shows wear and tear typical of it's age.

Comments:
- Both the Measures, as the Weight, are approximate.

- To take the photos of the Inside Pages, they have been held with tweezers.

- Very interesting miniature book as a collector's item and curiosity.

- The tones of the colours in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colours.

- The Miniature Book for sale is the one that corresponds to the photos. The description is not a detailed exposition of it.
