Description:
Description:
- Silver bronze circular medal, representing a Muse of Industry, sculpted by Henry Dropsy, and not knowing the executor, issued in the first half of the 20th century to be dedicated to commemorations and awards.
- Obverse: A woman is represented by a high relief, representing the Muse of Industry. To her right are various mechanical instruments, and to her left, in the background, are the silhouettes of various factories. Above the Muse, there is a winged figure, placing a small branch at her feet. To the right of the Muse, attached to the perimeter of the medal at the bottom, is the signature 'HENRY DROPSY'.
- Reverse side: The symbols of the work are depicted in high relief, while the lower part has a smooth, framed area ready to be engraved. It has the inscription 'COMICE AGRICOLE - LES PONTS'DE CÉ' which translates as 'Agricultural Meeting - The Bridges of Cé'.
- Song: Plain with the inscription 'BRONZE' and a 'triangular punch', containing two 'crossed bars' and the letters 'A' and 'C' between them.
- Without a doubt, the sculptor Henry Dropsy was a great artist. Coming from a family of sculptors, he won prizes in various competitions. He was a professor at the National School of Fine Arts, and was chosen as a member of the engraving section.
- The artistic quality of the medal is very high, made with great ease, achieving harmonious and expressive effects in the high reliefs.
- The passage of time, with its almost 100 years, has provided a precious patina to the original treatment of silver applied to the Medal.
Conservation:
- Both the front and the back are in a good state of conservation, with some wear and tear in the silver plating on the more prominent parts.
- The edges of the edge have been hit several times.

Comments:
- Both measurements and weight are approximate.

- Very interesting as a collector's item and as a decorative element.

- Because it is inevitable the differences of tonalities between photos and reality, you must have in mind that the tones of the colours of the photos are not exactly equal to the tones of the real colours.

- The object shows the wear and tear of its time, as well as some stains. It has small flaws.

- The data provided here are not contrasted personal opinions.
