Description:
Mustache for ink of the First Half of the S.XX. It would probably belong to a box of measures. It consists of two parts: handle and body of arms.
The handle is made of an alloy of white metals, with a threaded bolt. It is fluted to improve the grip. It is screwed, through the bolt, into a threaded hole that has the body in its head.
The arm with the body of the tongues and the needle arm, is all made of steel in one piece, that is, the body of arms is one piece, very small end. The opening of the mustache, that is, the distance between the arm of the needle and the arm with the body of the tongues, is graduated by means of a wheel that is screwed to a threaded bolt, fixed to the arm of the needle by means of a micro bolt, what allows its turn. This distance is what allows you to set the radius of the circle you want to draw.
The distance between tabs is adjusted by means of a wheel that has a threaded bolt that goes through one of the tabs and screws into the other.
The needle is graduated and fixed by means of a wheel that has a small threaded bolt incorporated.
The tips of the tongues are in very good condition. It has some oxidation and enough dirt.
It is advisable to carry out a cleaning and an adequate treatment for the oxide, which would significantly improve its appearance, and greatly revalue the piece. Very interesting as a collector's item.
