- José Vila Fuentes, (1920-1997), follower of Emilio Varela's art and gifted with a fine plastic and aesthetic sensitivity, Vila has shown his paintings in many exhibitions, both in Spain and abroad, winning several prizes and awards. He is part 'perse' of what could be understood as the Alicante landscape. The chromatic softness that avoids any stridency of colour, the delicacy and fineness of his textures qualify his art as poetic.
