Description:
- Photogravure plate from the early 20th century.
- Photoengraving is the production of relief prints by transferring photographic images onto a plate for printing in such a way that light or dark areas become susceptible to engraving. It is normally applied to metal, but can also be used on glass, plastic or other materials.
- The plate is worked with the highest quality, and on the basis of a drawing made with great skill. This has made it possible to obtain a unique piece.
- Its conservation is very good, having been used only a few times.
- We think that it could be a page from a book, possibly the cover. Jesus Christ is depicted in the background, with several religious figures passing the chalice in the foreground. A decorative floral border surrounds the panel.
- On the side of the upper part is the stamp: Fotograbado Arcos Barcelona.
