Description:
- Incomplete plumb bob for the construction of the second half of the 20th century and without preserving the nut.
- The weight is cylindrical and conical, 12,2 cm. high, 4,5 cm. in diameter and 1008 gr. It is made by turning and has a threaded head.
- The body of the weight is hollow and filled with lead.
- A spectacular patina is preserved throughout the Plumb bob. The quality of the bronze casting and the execution of the Plumb bob is very good.
- No distinguishing marks or contrasts have been found which might provide information on the place where it was manufactured, details of the manufacturer and other information.
- Probably the Plumb bob is made in the south of Europe.
Conservation and Damage:
- The Plumb bob is in good state of conservation, having many, but very small blows and rubs.
- The foundry of the Plumb bob has no imperfections.
- The Plumb bob has the wear and tear of it
Comments:
- Both the measurements and the weight are approximate.
- Very interesting as a collector's item and as a decorative element.
- Because it is inevitable the differences of tonalities between photos and reality, it should be taken into account that the tones of the colours in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colours.
