- Incomplete plumb bob for the construction of the second half of the 20th century, with solid bronze weight and without conserving the nut.
- The body of the weight is cylindrical and conical, 11.2 cm high, 3.6 cm in diameter and 661 g in weight.
- The bronze weight has a threaded head.
- The Plummet was probably made in southern Europe.
- A very good and beautiful patina is preserved throughout the Plumb. The quality of the bronze casting, and the execution of the Plumb bob is very good.
- There are no signs, marks or contrasts to be found, which could provide information about the place of manufacture, the manufacturer and other information.
Conservation and Damage:
- The Plumb is in good state of conservation, having the Weigh many, but very small blows and rubs, all corresponding to a quite careful use of the Plumb.
- The foundry of the Plumb has no imperfections.
Comments:
- Both the measurements and the weight are approximate.
- Very interesting as a collector's item and as a decorative element.
