PLUMB BOB WITH NUT. IRON TIP. S.XX

Description:
- Plumb bob with nut for Construction of the First Half of the 20th Century, with solid bronze weight.
- The head is threaded, conserving the original nut and the string.
- The thread is large in size and diameter, with a large thread and pitch.
- The body of the weight has the shape of a cylinder and cone. It is made of bronze with the exception of the apex of the cone which is made of iron.
- The width of the Nut is 3 cm, coinciding with the diameter of the weight, also 3 cm.
- On the top of the head there is a fluted band, which gives it an elegant and harmonious touch.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information about the place where it was made, the maker's details, or any other information.
- The Plumb bob is probably made in southern Europe, with the possibility that its place of manufacture is in Spain.
Conservation and damage:
- The plumb bob is in a good state of preservation, with many, but very small knocks and scratches, both on the edges and on the faces.
- The quality of workmanship of the plumb bob is very good, both the casting and the turning of the weight and the nut, all with simple and very good finishes.
- A very good and beautiful patina is preserved throughout the plumb bob.
- The plumb bob shows wear typical of it's age.
