Description:
- The Object on sale is the one that corresponds with the photos, that at the same time are complemented in this Description, with the objective to provide a better knowledge of the Object, and never be a detailed exhibition of the same one.
- Incomplete Instrumental Plumb bob from the Second Half of the 19th century, without Nut, with a Weight of 9.1 cm high, 4.6 cm in diameter and a weight of703 gr.
- The body of the weight has the shape of a cylinder and a cone. It is made of solid bronze with the exception of the apex of the cone which is iron.
- In the cylindrical area of the body, there are three marks composed of 6 squares each, located at 120º between them.
- The head is made of iron with a cylindrical shape and finished in the upper part with a nut, in order to facilitate the tightening of the head. The thread is singularly long and with a very pronounced pitch. The upper part of the nut is signed 'NEDUR 8G'.
- The execution quality of the Plummet is very good, both the casting and the turning of the Weight in yellow bronze and iron, all with very good finishes.
- Probably the Plumada is made in the south of Europe.
- It is preserved very good and beautiful patina of time in all the Plumb.
Conservation and damage:
- Plumb, considered globally, is in a magnificent state of conservation.
- This Plumb presents tiny blows and frictions, both in the edges and in all its surface.
- The iron parts present practically no oxidation.
Comments:
- Both the Measures, and the Weight, are approximate.
- It is very interesting as piece of collection and decorative element.
- Because it is inevitable the differences of tonalities between photos and reality, you must bear in mind that the tones of the colors in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colors.
- The object has the wear and tear of its time, as well as some stains. It has small flaws.
