Description:
- Plumb bob construction of the second half of the 18th century, complete and with threaded head.
- The weight is 7.7 cm high, 4.5 cm in diameter and weighs 442 gr.
- The thread is of medium size and diameter, with a small thread and pitch.
- The thread is overcooked and for this reason we have placed a paper inside it.
- The nut is made entirely of wood, we think that it is later than the plumb bob given its characteristics, but it could be original, from the same period as the weight.
- A new string has been attached to it.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information about the place where it was made, the manufacturer's details or any other information.
- The plumb bob was probably made in southern Europe.
Preservation and damage:
- The plumb bob is in a good state of preservation, although the Weight has many knocks and scratches, both on the edges and edges, as well as on the faces.
- A spectacular patina has been preserved on the entire plumb bob.
- The nut is preserved intact and in very good condition.
