Description:
- Used Postal Stamp, 5 Cents, from Spain, from the year 1889. Dark blue color.
- On the Obverse, within a dark Blue oval, is the bust looking to the right of King Alfonso XIII in Dark Blue. On the upper side “COMMUNICATIONS” in dark blue, within a white space. On the lower side “5 CENTIMOS” in dark blue, within a white space. All surrounded by filigree.
- Circular postmark not legible.
- On the Reverse the postmark shows through.
- Vertical teeth: 17. Vertical perforations:16.
- Horizontal teeth: 15. Horizontal perforations:14.
- Printed on good quality thin paper, very light off-white, made in a dark blue monochrome tone, very good ink, good printing and acceptable centering.
- No distinctive, mark or hallmark has been located that could provide more information about this Postal Stamp.
Conservation and Damage:
- General Condition: Good.
- The Stamp has been recently washed, so it does not retain the rubber.
- There is no lack or breakage in the seal.
- The teeth have some defects.
- The Postal Stamp presents the deterioration typical of its time.
