- At the top, “REPÚBLICA ESPAÑOLA” in white, at the bottom “CORREOS” in white, and at the top, “EMILIO CASTELAR” in white. In the lower left corner, “40 'CTS' in white. Below, 'National Mint and Stamp Factory' in blue.
- No postmark signs.

- Printed on thin, good quality, very light off-white paper, in a single dark blue tone, with good ink coverage, good printing, and very poor centering.
