Description:
- Used postage stamp, 1 peseta, from the Second Spanish Republic, dated 1931. Colour: Black.
- On the obverse, in black, within a rectangle, is the Alcántara Bridge in Toledo. At the top: ‘REPÚBLICA ESPAÑOLA’. At the bottom: ‘CORREOS’, ‘1’, ‘Pta.’, ‘CORREOS’ and ‘III Congreso Unión Postal Panamericana’. In the lower right-hand corner, outside the rectangle, is the engraver’s signature: W & S. LTD. The postmark is straight.
- On the reverse, the black ink has bled through most of the surface. It has small creases at the top.
