- On the obverse, within a blue oval, is the right-facing bust of King Alfonso XII in blue. On the upper side, 'COMMUNICATIONS' in blue, within a white space. On the lower side, '10 Cs PESETA' in blue, within a white space. All surrounded by watermarks.
- Circular postmark not legible.
- On the reverse, number 33 is framed in blue. The postmark shows through.
- Vertical perforation: 16. Vertical perforations: 15.
- Horizontal perforation: 14. Horizontal perforations: 13.
- Printed on good-quality, thin, very light off-white paper in a single-color blue tone, with very good ink, good embossing, and good centering.
- No hallmarks, marks, or hallmarks have been found that could provide further information about this postage stamp.
