Description:
- Used postage stamp, from Germany, year 1923, of 800 overloaded frames. Brown.
- On the obverse it has in the centre of a circle, surrounded by watermark, the legend '400 mark'. On the upper side is the legend 'Deutsches Reich'. It is enveloped with the legend '800 Tausend' with a black stripe on the lower side covering the word 'inhundert'.
- The reverse is clean, showing what could be a watermark.
- Vertical toothing:18. Vertical perforations:17.
- Horizontal indentation:15. Horizontal perforations:14.
- Vertical postmark not legible.
- Printed on medium thick paper of good quality, very light off-white, made in brown monochrome, very good ink, good stamping and bad centring.
- No distinctive, mark or contrast has been found, which could give more information about this Postal Stamp.
Conservation and Damage:
- General condition: Good.
- The stamp has been recently washed and therefore the gum is missing.
- The paper is clean and has no rust.
- Teeth well preserved.
- There are no faults or breaks on the stamp.
- The postage stamp shows the deterioration of it’s time.
