Description:
- Used postage stamp, from Germany.
- Obverse has the Imperial Coat of Arms engraved in the centre, with dry volume, as can be seen in the Reverse detail photo. Around it is the legend 'DEUTSCHE REICHS POST'. Around the perimeter are floral motifs. In the two lower corners is the number 10. On the lower side is engraved 'PFENNIGE'.
- The reverse is clean, except that the postmark is visible.
- Vertical teeth:17. Vertical perforations:16.
- Horizontal indentation:14. Horizontal perforations:13.
- Circular postmark. The number '88' can be read in the centre, and in its perimeter '5' and '68' in a very diffuse way.
- Printed on fine paper of poor quality, very light off-white, made in red monochrome, good ink, good stamping and good centring.
- No distinctive, mark or contrast has been located, which could provide more information about this Postal Stamp.
Conservation and Damage:
- General Condition: Very Good.
- The stamp has been recently washed and therefore the gum has been preserved.
- The paper is clean and has no rust.
- Teeth well preserved.
- The postage stamp shows the deterioration of it's time.
