Description:
Etching probably in strong water steel (can be another type of plate and another technique). It represents an attack Tower with its archers, based on a French Latin manuscript of S.X. It provides a very interesting information of these war techniques used in the S.X. It has No. 181 in the upper right corner, and No. 46. France in the lower left corner, so it probably may have been bound, and these are its order numbers. Margins are not scarce, although they are not large margins either. The No. 46 France, located in the lower left corner, is almost on the edge, without any margin. Fine paper of regular quality, glued by the corners to another paper. The edges are slightly deteriorated, with slight folds and bent. The paper is a bit yellowish, has some dirt and small rust marks, especially when approaching the edges.
Very interesting as a collector's item and decorative element. Spectacular in an illuminated niche, with minimalist decoration.
Due to the fact that the differences in tonalities between photos and reality are inevitable, we must bear in mind that the color tones of the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the actual colors. The engraving presents the wear characteristic of its time, as well as some stains. It has small flaws. The information provided here are personal opinions not contrasted.
