REFLECTIONS CIRCULAR PLATE. MANISES EARTHENWARE.

Description:
- Circular dish, of good quality. It is made of beige enamelled earthenware, with metallic lustre decoration of acceptable quality, probably made in Manises (Valencia - Spain), in the second half of the 19th century. Due to its characteristics, it could have been made at the beginning of the 19th century.
- The saucer has a medium thickness, with no sound when touched. The beige enamel is very thick, which gives the saucer a high quality.
- On the upper side, the metallic lustre decoration forms a design with a central golden circle, around which there are several concentric circles, between which various designs develop. It has the three marks of the firing support.
- On the underside of the dish there is no pattern of any kind, and the beige enamel can be seen in all its splendour. It has the three marks of the firing support.
- We think that this dish has three phases of firing. The first phase involves firing the virgin earthenware in the kiln. In a second phase the dish is fired with the application of the yellowish beige glaze. And a third phase in which the dish is fired again with the application of the metallic lustre paint.
- All these characteristics give the dish a very interesting patina, with a very attractive and high quality appearance.
- The dish does not have any Distinctive, Mark or Contrast, to be able to identify data such as its author, the place where it was made and other details.

Conservation and Damage:
- The plate in question is in good condition, especially the metallic highlights which are fairly well preserved, with the exception of wear and tear, especially in the central circle.
- There are small chips and scuffs on the edges. No manufacturing flaws.
- It shows the wear and tear of it

- Measurements and weight are approximate.
- Very interesting as a collector's item and decorative element.
- It is very difficult to find objects with these characteristics.
