Description:
- Saint Matthew the Evangelist plaque. Applique.
- It is a precious plate, made of an alloy of white metals.
- It shows Saint Matthew, one of the four Evangelists, the four authors to whom the canonical Gospels are traditionally attributed.
- As the evangelist, Saint Matthew holds an open book in his left hand and a pen in his right hand. His usual mode of representation is in the attitude of having suspended writing for a moment.
- On the back there is a threaded plug with a nut for attaching it.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information on where it was made, the maker,s details or any other information.

Conservation and Damage:
- The plaque/applique is in a perfect state of preservation.
- The Object shows wear and tear typical of it,s age.
