Magnificent and spectacular bronze sculpture, representing a young gypsy, wrapped in a large shawl, revealing her face, and sitting in an armchair with footrest. We have not found any type of signature of the author, no inscription of the foundry, or any other brand that can identify it.
It is solid, and in addition to a single piece, so, due to its structure, it is most likely made using a single-use mold, because, due to the shapes of the sculpture, they force the mold to break. unmold Due to its size, which is solid and the base is made of black marble, the total weight is very high, which adds to its interest, since these circumstances make it difficult to cast it.
The sculpture, we located at the beginning of the second half of the S.XX, although it could be earlier, since his style is very close to modernism. The artistic quality of the sculpture is very high, highlighting its proportions and the spectacular movement that conveys its contemplation. The quality of the casting, its completion and the finishing of the sculpture are regular, since they present superficial damages, even though they are very small.
In our opinion, the termination and finishing treatment has been limited to eliminating the drinking troughs, and to making some specific adjustments. This circumstance, of a little worked completion, adds a lot of interest, since for it the mold has to be of great quality, if you want to get the very good result of this sculpture. Throughout the 15 years that it is in our hands, we have not located another sculpture equal to this one, for what we think that it would be made very few units. Very interesting as a collector's item and decorative element. Spectacular in an illuminated niche, with minimalist decoration.
Due to the fact that the differences in tonalities between photos and reality are inevitable, we must bear in mind that the color tones of the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the actual colors.
