Description:
Beautiful silk mechanical tapestry, very fine point, with great detail and great quality. It is made in black and white, which gives it great elegance. The image of our Tapestry corresponds to a painting by Percy Tarrant, whose mark is in the lower left corner. The Tapestry has the mark NF in the lower right corner, which corresponds to the French company Neyret Freres. Neyret Freres was directed by Jean Baptiste Neyret, who produced silk fabrics in the 19th century, manufacturing special tapes, brand images in textile products, as well as other specialties. He also produced magnificent mechanical tapestries based on the reproduction of works by renowned artists.

Comments:
In England the Stevengraph was invented, which is an image mechanically woven in silk, with a very fine point and great detail. It was invented by Thomas Stevens in the nineteenth century, producing a variety of products, such as tapestries, markers, greeting cards and other objects of silk. Steven Cole's great hobby of collecting, especially for bookmarks. It presents the own attrition of its time, as well as some stains. It has small damages.
